Apollo’s Tropic / The Design

The exhibition Apollo’s Tropic by Néphéli Barbas and Martin Herold emerges from movement between Prague, Paris and Athens, exploring architecture as a living archive of time, memory and traces of everyday life. Through painting, objects and spatial installations, the artists work with façades, ornament and the disruption of established forms. The individual works enter into dialogue, responding to one another and forming a shifting whole in which no form remains permanently fixed. An important point of reference is Henry Miller’s Tropic of Cancer and its fragmented mode of moving through space. During Czech Design Week 2026, the exhibition forms part of the accompanying programme at THE DESIGN.
