Na pražském Dvořákově nábřeží u Čechova mostu ožívá do soboty 11. října 2025 světelná instalace Aura designérů Tomáše Kučery a Kláry Janypkové, která jako ozvěna zářijového festivalu Czech Design Week 2025 rozšiřuje jeho program do veřejného prostoru. Expozice vznikla v modulu City od společnosti KOMA Modular a představuje nový způsob, jak přiblížit současný český design a sklo jako živé médium široké veřejnosti. Partnerem projektu je městská společnost Trade Centre Praha (TCP).
The Skydrift exhibition, presented as part of this year's 12th Czech Design Week, continues as an echo of the festival in the courtyard of the Baroque Clam-Gallas Palace until October 1, 2025. Skydrift transforms the historic space of the palace into an art chapel — a place of meditation, harmony and stopping amid the hustle and bustle of the big city. The dialogue between glass, painting, light and sound brings together the work of three prominent personalities: glass artist František Jungvirt, painter Jiří Bartoš and architect and artist Jan Slanina. Tickets for the Skydrift exhibition are available on sale on the GoOut website.
On Sunday, September 14, the 12th edition of the Czech Design Week festival culminated in the presentation of the Czech Design Award: Ploom Edition at Mánes Gallery. The special edition of the competition on the theme of Tradition recognized four projects that originally link cultural and artisanal heritage with contemporary design and social overlap.
From 11 to 14 September, the 12th edition of the Czech Design Week festival of design and art will take place in Prague, which will also occupy two main exhibition locations this year — the Mánes Gallery and the Clam-Gallas Palace. While Mánes will offer current creation through exhibition installations by designers, brands, studios and students alike, the Clam-Gallas Palace will present the New Generation exhibition and several solo artist exhibitions around the palace courtyard. Design installations of young creators will also be offered by the Slavia cafe and a dozen design shops and showrooms. This year's festival offers visitors a unique design route for discovering new creations in the center of Prague.
Festival designové a umělecké tvorby Czech Design Week v rámci 12. ročníku, který se koná od 11. do 14. září, opět zavítá do prostor barokního Clam-Gallasova paláce v centru Prahy, kde návštěvníky přivítá v pořadí třetí edice festivalové výstavy New Generation představující selekci nastupující generace umělců a designérů. Ta letos vznikla pod společným kurátorským vedením Anny Pulkertové a Lukáše Pipka. Cílem výstavy, která zahrnuje tři desítky autorských jmen, je představit nejmladší generaci tvůrců, kteří se pohybují na pomezí designu a volného umění a kteří již nyní mají rozpoznatelný tvůrčí přístup.
Dvanáctý ročník Czech Design Week přináší vedle hlavních expozic v Galerii Mánes a Clam-Gallasově paláci také bohatý doprovodný program. Ten kromě sérii přednášek a diskuzí v Galerii Mánes zahrnuje také tři výrazné výstavy v barokním paláci, slavnostní předávání cen Czech Design Award: Ploom Edition i speciální program v legendární kavárně Slavia.
Festival současné designové i umělecké tvorby Czech Design Week zahájil přípravy na 12. ročník, který proběhne v termínu od 11. do 14. září 2025. Hlavním výstavním prostorem festivalu bude opět Výstavní síň Mánes, pokračování se dočká také výstava New Generation, která představuje výběr nejvýraznější tvorby mladé generace umělců a designérů. Doprovodné výstavní lokace i programovou linku festivalu oznámí pořadatelé v následujících měsících. Přihlášky pro všechny designéry, studenty designových oborů, ateliéry, studia, značky, firmy a další tvůrce běží do 15. června 2025.
Ve dnech 30.1 - 13.2 2025 zavítala do pražského Clam-Gallasova paláce výstava designových kolekcí aktuálních držitelů cen Czech Design Award. Výstava Czech Design Award Winner 2024 představila oceněný výběr z aktuální tvorby mladých designérů a studií, kteří se loni v září představili návštěvníkům festivalu Czech Design Week. Společně s výstavou představily ceny nový redesign, jehož součástí je i spuštění přihlášek pro všechny autory, kteří chtějí svou tvorbu nominovat na ceny Czech Design Award v letošním roce.
Ve Výstavní síni Mánes byly v neděli 8. září rozdány ceny 11. ročníku Czech Design Award, které se tradičně uděluji v rámci zakončení festivalu Czech Design Week. Letos přitom mezi oceněnými převládala mladá krev slovenského designu; tvůrci, kteří své kolekce, často poprvé, představili i české veřejnosti.
Od 5. do 8. září přivítá 11. ročník festivalu Czech Design Week své návštěvníky poprvé na dvou místech v centru Prahy. Ve Výstavní síni Mánes se představí aktuální kolekce stovky českých i zahraničních designérů, značek a studií. Do Clam-Gallasova paláce festival pozve na doprovodnou výstavu New Generation s výběrem tvorby mladé krve designu a umění, která už dnes patří k tomu nejvýraznějšímu, co u nás vzniká. A jejich tvůrce se do budoucna vyplatí rozhodně sledovat. I letos festival doplní každodenní doprovodný program přednášek a diskuzí na téma umělé inteligence, investice do umění či mediální tvorby.
The annual show and festival of design and artistic creation Czech Design Week will take place in two exhibition spaces during its 11th Edition . The exhibition line of the latest collections of designers, studios, studios and brands in the Mánes Exhibition Hall from 5 to 8 September will be complemented by a curated exhibition of young talents of the design and art scene called New Generation. The 11th edition of the Czech Design Week festival will celebrate the entry into its second decade with innovations in the exhibition and program line, which the organizers will publish gradually. Applications for all designers, design students, studios, brands, companies and other creators run until June 15, 2024.
The 10th anniversary of the Czech Design Week festival concluded on Sunday, September 10, 2023 with the Czech Design Award, which through the festival's expert jury annually recognizes talented designers active on the Czech scene. This year, the awards were dominated by students and young designers.
As part of its regular exhibition cycle, the Malostranská gallery Curator Contemporary presented a new collective exhibition Selekce 2023. The exhibition presents the work of young designers and designers who received the Czech Design Award this year.
