The Skydrift exhibition, presented as part of this year's 12th Czech Design Week, continues as an echo of the festival in the courtyard of the Baroque Clam-Gallas Palace until October 1, 2025. Skydrift transforms the historic space of the palace into an art chapel — a place of meditation, harmony and stopping amid the hustle and bustle of the big city. The dialogue between glass, painting, light and sound brings together the work of three prominent personalities: glass artist František Jungvirt, painter Jiří Bartoš and architect and artist Jan Slanina. Tickets for the Skydrift exhibition are available on sale on the GoOut website.
Jungvirt in his new collection of vases Feather Animals, presented for the first time in the exhibition Skydrift, opens the theme of the fragility of nature through figures of endangered Czech birds, whose cracked surface symbolizes the vulnerability of the world around us. Jiří Bartoš's paintings evoke the atmosphere of cloud landscapes and changeable skies — from gentle memories and childhood déja vu to the drama of a storm. The architectural work of the artist Jan Slanina brings layers of symbolic light into the space, which rhythmize the architecture of the chapel and move it into the contemporary context.

An important part of the exhibition is a sound track prepared by Jan Kužník in cooperation with the Czech Ornithological Society. Recordings of endangered birds from protected sites add an extra dimension to the space and deepen its contemplative atmosphere.
The exhibition was created in the curatorial concept Karolína Juřicová and through cooperation with partners — Prague City Hall, Museum of Prague, Xiaomi Česká republika and insurance company Direct CZ that this year ensures that young design and art are safe. Admission to the exhibition is on sale on the GoOut portal via link here.

The Skydrift exhibition was featured as part of the programme Czech Design Week 2025, which took place from 11 to 14 September at the Mánes Gallery, Clam-Gallas Palace and at a dozen of other venues in the centre of Prague. The festival introduced the young generation of Czech and foreign design and culminated in the presentation of the Czech Design Award: Ploom Edition.
