Hana Vopravilová / Artisème

Glass designer Hana Vopravilová presents the PAP – Paper As Patterner collection at Artisème during Czech Design Week 2026. In the project, she explores paper as a tool capable of transferring its structure and visual memory into glass. Hand-made moulds of corrugated cardboard and paper honeycomb burn away during the glassblowing process, leaving a unique trace on the surface of each object. The project combines traditional glassmaking craftsmanship with an experimental approach to material, while opening up themes of changing material value, memory and contemporary decoration. The exhibition is part of the Czech Design Week festival route at the Artisème design store in Prague’s Malá Strana district.
