The After All vase collection, presented at Czech Design Week, emerged from an experimental exploration of glass and its technologies. For the student of the Furniture and Interior Design Studio at AAAD in Prague, the tattooing process became a key source of inspiration, based on irreversible intervention, focus and precision. The vases are hand-blown without moulds, making each piece unique. They combine clear and opal glass layers that are subsequently engraved. Distinctive transparent openings are ground through the surface, disrupting the solidity of the objects, while subtle material traces left by the production process become part of their final expression. The collection brings together glassmaking, the mindset of tattooing and a design approach to the functional object.
