The Experimental Design Studio at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, led by Sylvia Jokelová and Petra Rybánská, presents PREMENA, a project that explores material as an active partner in the creative process. The student works created during the 2025/2026 academic year engage with unconventional craft techniques, technological error, deviation and the nonlinear development of materials. The individual projects move between material research, limited editions and spatial installations, raising the question of whether contemporary design can function as an open, evolving process rather than a definitive solution.
