Gitta Bara & Radim Kučera

Gitta Bara’s ceramics, decorated with volcanic phonolite, meet Radim Kučera’s forge-welded iron, which retains traces of its material history, in a collection of vessels and accessories for the traditional tea ceremony. An organic aesthetic, an emphasis on process and respect for the natural character of the materials create a shared visual language. The tea ceremony then becomes a moment rooted in the present, where the human hand encounters materials shaped over timescales that far exceed the human experience.
