Josef Kocman

Josef Kocman, a student of the Ceramics Studio at FUD UJEP, presents the Echoes of the Streets collection, which translates the fleeting visual language of urban streets into the lasting medium of technical porcelain. Rounded, inflated forms inspired by graffiti throw-ups are assembled into layered vertical objects. Glossy glazes and electroplated surfaces reference the intensity of street aesthetics while shifting the spontaneous gesture of graffiti from public space into a gallery context.
