Monika Pacíková

In the Glass Desserts collection, Monika Pacíková translates the sensuality of confectionery matter into hand-blown glass. The vases and candleholders are created through an experimental process in which the designer allows the material to respond to heat, gravity and movement. The viscosity of molten glass here evokes melted sugar, chocolate or softening ice cream. Each original piece captures a fleeting moment between solid and liquid states, creating a tension between the ephemerality of inspiration and the permanence of the final object.
