Radek Krucina

CHESS is a new collection of art glass by designer Radek Krucina. The series of vases, carafes and drinking glasses reinterprets the archetypes of chess pieces as objects of everyday life. Symbols traditionally associated with order, strategy and hierarchy are removed from their original function and placed in new contexts. Rather than reinforcing familiar expectations and roles, the collection opens them up to new interpretation. Through organic forms and bold colour, Krucina explores the delicate boundary between the rules of the game and the freedom of artistic life.
