I have only been working with glass for a few years and am currently studying at the Glass Studio at UMPRUM. I was captivated not only by its appearance, but by the entire making process. Recently, I have been most drawn to glass painting and silvering. I enjoy working with their unpredictability and waiting to see what the final result will be, while still searching for the form of expression that feels most natural to me. The proverb All That Glitters Is Not Gold, which gives the presented collection its title, suggests that appearances can be deceptive. Things, situations or people that may initially seem attractive, valuable or desirable can, on closer inspection, prove worthless, flawed or even harmful.
