Karolína Šulcová

Karolína Šulcová builds her paintings around the tension between tangible reality and imagination. A key motif in her work is the iconography of home, particularly memories of a rural house in the Vysočina region. Her subtly surreal paintings unfold as open, slow narratives about place, time and memory. Alongside painting, she also works with drawing and installation, exploring light, the passage of time and introspection.
