Oldřich Voyta combines traditional craftsmanship with advanced technologies and research into new materials. He designed the inaugural set of pumps and a handbag for First Lady Eva Pavlová, and his work is represented in the permanent collections of the Moravian Gallery in Brno and the National Museum in Prague. He is also behind the development of KNITHER, a new micro-knitted material conceived as an alternative to leather-based materials, with potential applications in footwear, fashion, furniture and the automotive industry. The NOVUM collection presents the current direction of his design and material research. The models are made from KNITHER and decorated with Czech crystal, bringing together traditional craftsmanship and Czech heritage with technological innovation.
