Apostolos Apostolides

Apostolos Apostolides presents Sprout, a research prototype developed as part of his Master’s thesis at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. Using a systemic design approach, the project explores family nutrition during the first 1,000 days of a child’s life — from conception to the age of two — while drawing attention to fragmented nutritional information and the often overlooked role of the partner. Sprout takes the form of a small kitchen-counter device that uses quizzes, nutritional tips, milestones and recipes to encourage shared responsibility for healthier eating across the household.
